Product Information

Bullseye frit is made from crushed, screened and magnetically cleaned Bullseye Compatible sheet glass. Available in a huge variety of colours, frit gives the opportunity to add a unique element to your glass work.

Frits are extremely versatile and can be used in kilnforming, including 'glass sketch' and painting with light techniques, as well as in torch working and blowing, to create colours and patterns on surfaces.

Frits are available in a Powder, Fine, Medium, Coarse and Extra Coarse form.

Working Notes

Reactive Potential:

Nonreactive

Cold Characteristics:

Appears transparent and clear in its cold form. Occasional
wisps of white are possible.

Working Notes:

Requires a full fuse to strike to a hazy, milky white that
transmits warm-hued light.

Transmitted light varies based on thickness: Thinner pieces
result in a yellow-ish hue, thicker pieces in a warmer almost orange hue.

Opacity increases with extended heatwork.

OVERLAY INFORMATION Opaline has great potential to expand
the colour palette in kilnforming because it has the ability to create new colours with distinct properties.

Fine and Medium frits usually appear lighter than their fired colour, even when the glass is not a striker. Coarse frits less so.

All our glass is COE90, Bullseye Glass compatible and suitable for applications such as glass fusing, glass casting and glass slumping (unless otherwise stated in the description).
