This kit has been designed by Warm Glass UK to help people set their kilns to a firing cycle ideal for Bullseye Glass. It simply helps you to achieve a similar firing cycle to the one we use in our studio.
The kit includes full instructions and materials to carry out 4 tests. Please separate the cones before firing- includes 8 cones.
I bought this on recommendation as I thought was my kiln was malfunctioning but turns out it was just over firing by about 20 degrees. Now that I've adjusted the temperature everything is firing beautifully, many thanks!
It's a superb little kit. I thought my kiln was overfiring but wasn't sure by how much. Now I know, it's close to 15 degrees. I don't have to change my existing firing schedules but when working with new moulds I can allow for the variation and have a much better chance of success first time. The kit couldn't be easier to use and as an added bonus when you've finished testing you can spend time wondering about what you are going to do with the new piece of kiln furniture you've suddenly acquired.
