Product Information

Bullseye opalescent sheet glass has an assertiveness and complexity of colour that isn’t matched anywhere. These sheets, when held to light, respond with a fascinating array of complementary hues—like an opal.

Working Notes

Reactive Potential: Nonreactive

Cold Characteristics:

Appears transparent and clear in its cold form. Occasional
wisps of white are possible.

Working Notes:

Requires a full fuse to strike to a hazy, milky white that
transmits warm-hued light.

Transmitted light varies based on thickness: Thinner pieces
result in a yellow-ish hue, thicker pieces in a warmer almost orange hue.

Opacity increases with extended heatwork.

OVERLAY INFORMATION Opaline has great potential to expand
the colour palette in kilnforming because it has the ability to create new colours
with distinct properties.

All our glass is COE90, Bullseye Glass compatible and
suitable for applications such as glass fusing, glass casting and glass
slumping (unless otherwise stated in the description).

Simply stunning full fused on top of transparent spring green or gold purple. Creates a magical effect and I'm looking forward to making some toadstools with these combinations. I've made some small trinket dishes and can't stop picking them up and looking at them!

spectacular glass, love the reflections, the fire, and its first glance modesty. Going to be hard to resist using it for lots of things. If you are going to tack fuse only it won't transform to the whitish with fire, so keep it for full fuse projects.

Wow - just used this on the inside of a bowl with some red opal on the outside, it glows like a pearl!
