Product Information

Each pack is made up of mainly 3mm Bullseye Tekta, but you may also find 4mm Tekta, 6mm Tekta or 2mm clear. The majority of these pieces are from the edges of clear circles and will have a curved edge. The bucket may also include a lot of small fragments which is why we suggest using this bucket for glass casting projects.

For more uniform pieces, we recommend our Clear Glass Student Pack.

Working Notes

All our glass is COE90, Bullseye Glass compatible and suitable for applications such as glass fusing, glass casting and glass slumping (unless otherwise stated in the description).

I was delighted with my bucket of scrap. I was surprised by how many larger pieces I received, it was a good mixture. I will use the smaller pieces for pot melts. I thought it was good value, although I did get it when it was in a sale.

What I got was as expected and similar to photo. A large bucket of scrap that can be used in various ways. You can cut out square/rectangular sections from the larger pieces for small sheet/pendant type projects, but no bigger than 3x4cm or 2x7cm strips. Smaller/thinner pieces can be used in a variety of fusing projects as well. The pieces can also be cast or used in pot melts. Don't count on getting large sheets from this - you wont, but there are many other uses for this and its a good £/kg cost.

I was in two minds if I should purchase, based on the previous review. However, it is as described and similar to picture. Some large pieces of scrap, odd shapes and thickness. Great if you're learning, work on smaller pieces or like to experiment with casting. I would purchase again. Happy with this sale purchase.

This is a note of warning, read the information carefully. I made the mistake of assuming that this pack would be the same as the clear student packs only increased quantity. With the student packs you get decent use able sizes of glass. With this pack the large proportion is very small in my case only useful for clear frit work as I don't do casting. The up side is I won't have to buy clear coarse frit for years!
