Product Information

Use these 3mm pre-cut red opal hearts to create bold jewellery pieces or add vibrant detail to your fused glass designs.

Available in three sizes -

  • 15mm (15mm x 15mm)
  • 22mm (22mm x 22mm)
  • 35mm (35mm x 35mm).

For best results, tack fuse when using as embellishments to help retain their shape.

When double layered to 6mm for jewellery, they can be full fused.

Perfect for use with enamels, powders, frit and more, these ready-cut shapes save time while giving a clean, professional finish.

Due to the manufacturing process, small points may occasionally appear around the edges - these can be easily removed with a quick grind, diamond hand pad, sickle stone or grozing pliers

Selenium, Sulphur

Reactive Potential:

May react with Copper, Lead, Silver

Cold Characteristics: 

This style may not reveal (or strike to) its target colour until fired.

Colour variations common from red-orange to terracotta. Frequently lightly streaked and with yellow mottling on back of single-rolled sheet.

Working Notes: 

A cadmium/selenium glass. Can react with lead-bearing glasses or overglazes. Possible reactions with (001311), (001215).

This style is not suitable for kilncasting because it can become incompatible when held at high temperatures for an extended period.  

All our glass is COE90, Bullseye Glass compatible and suitable for applications such as glass fusing, glass casting and glass slumping (unless otherwise stated in the description).
