As expected

We've been using it for over ten years. It works fine, however we sense that at some point in the past few years it became literally thinner, became less robust and tears easily when handling.

The roll is far more convenient than sheets, as neither fit my kiln peferectly and it is easier to bulk prep from the roll, less waste too so better value. Nice price point too, suits me. Only small issue is the stickers used to keep the roll closed mean a small secion of the top is lost, shame, would be better to use rubber bands I think to avoid waste.

I love thinfire paper ,it's brilliant stuff, but I've marked it down due to the massive increase in price in the 5m roll. I contacted to check why the huge price increase. I was told it was because their courier put the postage price up because if size. But if I collected it from Bristol I would still have to pay the extra. So doesn't make sense. I'm back to using sheets so very inconvenient and wasteful.

We do not offer discounts on Click and Collect but we do currently give a free glass pack to anyone collecting their order. 20/1/20.

I bought a roll at the same time as my kiln and pleased I did. It is very easy to use I cut 6-8 squares for my kiln at a time and keep the remainder rolled up. I have had very little leftover and smaller pieces can be cut up and used very effectively for kiln carving. You need at least 3 layers for this to work.

I use this paper every time I load the kilns. Very easy to prep and clean after. We use a hoover as it can be quite hazardous once fired.

I always purchase by the roll, but they seem to run out of stock very quickly.

In itself, a really easy to use way of preparing the kiln & clean away afterwards. Unfortunately. I have a lot of waste as it comes pre cut to unsuitable dimensions. Not everyone wants or can afford the huge rolls. How much better if this be sold in lengths rather than sheets of say 5 or 10 metres please!

There are 1mx10m rolls on the website, unfrotunately the rolls are not made in 50mm widths

I love this paper, I can't be bothered with the faff of kiln wash and this is the perfect substitute!

I cut through the paper roll with a saw to make more manageable widths and store them on a wrapping paper dispenser. Again quite a hefty one time investment but worth it for ease of use.

Such a useful staple item in my studio. I primarily make cabs for jewellery so use the paper in small amounts. Easy to cut so there's very little wastage and I get a consistently smooth surface on the cabs.

This is the best way to fire your glass - smooth back and easy to clean after use.

Up until recently, I have bought the pre-cut sheets of this fire paper, but I've always had to trim it to size leaving lots of strips of paper. Yes - I can use it for smaller projects, but i prefer covering the whole kiln shelf. Then I bought some by the roll. MUCH better - my kiln shelf is 1/3 of the width of the roll - NO waste pieces! If you can - buy it by the roll - in the long run it is much more economical!

As a newcomer to glass fusing I have found this ideal for my use. I also used up all off cuts making a jigsaw pattern, creating 3 extra circles from each sheet ( 28 in all) from 1 sheet. As a pensioner I need to look after the pennies. Thank you for your prompt delivery service, plus free on

Pros: very easy and fast to use, perfect results for most uses.

Cons: not cheap, produces dusty cloudy effect on the grinded edges (I work with Moretti, but I've seen in different forums that it does with Bullsey too), so if you see this effect you should use primer.

Love this paper. It makes a beautifully smooth surface and is so easy to cut to size for any kiln shelf size.

I've only ever used this thinfire paper, never kiln wash, and I like this paper a lot.

This is an item I could not do without! I have always used thin fire on my kiln shelf. It's easy to use, gives a smooth finish and does the job I want it to do. Always remember to wear a mask when hoovering it out of the kiln.

Not cheap but does an excellent job. Leaves a smoother finish than other cheaper kiln papers. Multiple layers can be used for finer contours than 1mm fibre. Experiment with a few shaped scraps between layers of glass as an inclusion.

This certainly quicker and easier than shelf primer. But not as economic. It rarely sticks to the glass and gives a smooth though dull finish.

Being me I save all offcuts to use in strips when firing smaller pieces. Make sure you don't have an overlap under your glass or you'll get a ridge! BUT you can also make texture by cutting strips or shapes and placing under your glass - make sure they are the right side up though.

Effect is subtle and doesn't disappear during slumping.
