Product Information

Use for coating kiln shelves or moulds prior to fusing or slumping glass.

Each batch is kiln-tested to ensure consistency from run to run.

Illustrated instructions are below, detailing application, drying, mixing, precautions, and storage.

  • One 400g jar will coat about 30 50cm sq shelves.
  • One 2.27kg bucket will coat about 150 50cm sq shelves
  • One 18kg bucket will coat about 1200 50cm sq shelves

Mixing Ratio:

Plaster/Powder: 1

Water: 5

Health & Safety

Warning: Product can cause damage to lungs through prolonged or repeated exposure by inhalation. Do not inhale dust/mist and ventilate work area. Irritant to skin and eyes. Wear an FFP3 dust mask and PPE. Clean up with a damp sponge or HEPA filter vacuum. Refer to Safety Data Sheet.

I didn't give the kiln wash a very good review because it flaked off. Your team got back to me, and it was my fault because I was applying it far too thickly. Thank you Warm glass. I now apply multiple thin coats and it works brilliantly.

I have applied the shelf primer to my kiln shelves but each time, once dried, it cracks and flakes off. I have tried both kiln drying and air drying but it makes no difference. Please could you tell me what I am doing wrong.

BRILLIANT.FANTASTIC.

I use this in my microwave kiln, on the base, and on kiln paper(I made mistake of purchasing a bulk pack of round papers,online,bargain price, or so I thought!!!! BIG mistake) but coupla coats of this on top of them, makes them usable.
