I wish I'd bought these years ago!..excellent for thicker pieces of glass and slicing up murrini rods ...also when creating small pieces for frit balls... I use a large deep saucepan to prevent ricocheting.

I have recently purchased this item and after using it every day for cutting stringers and sheet I must admit that I should have purchased them much earlier. An essential piece of equipment for all glass workers.
I would count these as a best friend, I use them every day, not being very confident in 'cutting' glass these help me get a rough shape then I use my grinder machine, another essential piece of my studio...
These are first class cutters, I use them for anything from 1mm stringers to 6mm rods and sheets in between. I point what's to be the cut off piece of glass into an upended 4litre ice cream tub and everything collects nicely in there.
