Tinned Copper Wire

Pre-tinned copper wire for use in stained glass applications. The pre-tinned surface readily accepts solder, making it much easier to work with, while the coating protects the copper from oxidation.

Perfect for adding hooks, loops, and dimensional details to your stained glass projects. It can also be used as a metal inclusion between layers of fused glass to create interesting embellishments and reactions. (Not recommended for hooks in fused glass, as the results after firing are not suitable for functional use.)

• Sizes: 1mm and 1.6mm
• Metals can react unpredictably with glass - always test before use. To avoid contamination, prevent metal from touching the kiln shelf and, where possible, use a separate shelf for projects involving metals.
