This is a robust and powerful grinding and polishing station ideal for professional use. Diamonds provide the fastest, most economical way of grinding glass and stone. Now, it is possible to grind and polish all on one machine and change media in 2 or 3 seconds. This beveller comes with a variable speed motor. This makes it possible to keep the speed of the disc as slow as possible for polishing and yet stays above the minimum recommended grinding speed.
The Glastar B12 flatlap is larger and more powerful then the B41 flatlap, and turns at a higher speed than competing 8" machines. Grinding at higher speeds means the work gets done just that much quicker. In addition, grinding at a higher speed prolongs diamond life.
The B12 is the only 8" lap that is direct drive. It does not rely on belts or pulleys. Instead, it employs a huge 1/3 HP motor. This motor is extremely strong; and even under heavy continuous production use, will not lose speed.

4. Plumbing includes an adjustable goose neck, ball valve, 1/4" compression fitting and a 5/8" x 8 ft drain line. The flexible spout makes it easy to direct a heavy stream of coolant to any area of the grinding disc.
5. Pump Recepticle. The on/off switch in the front controls both the motor and pump; Therefore, when the machine is turned on or off, the coolant pump is as well.
6. The 3/16" thick, molded polyethylene casing is an exceptionally tough material which will not rust. The catch basin is sloped toward the drain which eliminates any residue build-up.
