Product Information

Create a simple piece of artwork or a functional item of dinnerware.  This is a very special mould which makes a medium size but fairly deep bowl.

Bullseye Code: 8975

All our moulds are designed for multiple use and with care should last for many firings.

Dimensions

29cm diameter x 8cm deep.

Please note that all our moulds are hand-made and therefore the dimensions may vary slightly from those shown. Mould manufacturers allow a tolerance of up to 2cm. We strongly recommend cutting the glass to the size measured from the actual mould rather than relying solely on the dimensions shown.

Firing Schedule

This firing recommendation has been calculated using Bullseye Glass with a thickness of 6 mm in a Paragon GL24 kiln, and is courtesy of Bullseye Glass Co.

Segment 1:

Rate (°C/hr) – 167

Temp (°C) – 663

Hold – 1:45

 Segment 2:

 Rate (°C/hr) – 999

Temp (°C) – 482

Hold – 1:00

 Segment 3:

 Rate (°C/hr) – 56

Temp (°C) – 371

Hold – :00

The steep angle of the mould may result in an uneven slumping. Reposition the slumped piece and fire a second time. Use a very low slumping temperature with a long soak.

I love this mould! I've used it on large and small pieces and it works a treat. It's particularly good for bowls where you want to show off different patterns inside and out - the steep sides allow for the bottom of the piece to show up clearly. Definitely use the firing programme provided!

I recommend this firing schedule. I was firing a thinner piece uneven thickness so dropped the first ramp to 185 ph and the second to 280 ph. This mould is not as scary to use as it looks have fun!
