Product Information
Skull Casting Mould for glass.

Create edgy glass skulls with this Mexican Day of the Dead inspired mould. There are three different sizes, creating six castings with each firing.  The design is strong enough to stand on its own as a broach or pin or strung together to make a unigue necklace.

Use them to embellish your artwork or as stand alone jewellery pieces.  We suggest filling with either fine or medium Bullseye frit but why not add some dichroic glass to add depth and detail to the finished piece.

They can also be fused or attached to plates, platters, bowls or other castings.

The finished skulls are 1-1/4", 1-1/2" and 1-3/4" (32,38 and 44mm) from chin to forehead.

Outer dimensions of mould: 16.5cm x 13.5cm (approx).

We strongly recommend using Primo Primer with our casting moulds. Standard shelf primer is not suitable.

Fill weight: 10, 17 and 25 grams.

When filling the mould, pile the frit in a pyramid or dome shape so the centre of the mould is filled higher than the edges. This helps the correct flow of glass during firing, lowering the risk of the glass 'grabbing' the mould sides as it fires:

Please note that all our moulds are hand-made and therefore the dimensions may vary slightly from those shown. Mould manufacturers allow a tolerance of up to 2cm.

All our moulds are designed for multiple use and with care should last for many firings.

I love this mould, it works brilliantly every time. Good fun to experiment with different Frits- opaline striker is great & good mixed with colours. I've also experimented with inclusions such as glitter & dichroic frit. Good for pendants & earrings.
