Product Information
Bullseye White Opalescent Powder Frit.

One of a large variety of Bullseye Opal whites, Opaque White fires a pure colour and is the brightest shade.

Bullseye frit is made from crushed, screened and magnetically cleaned Bullseye Compatible sheet glass. Available in a huge variety of colours, frit gives the opportunity to add a unique element to your glass work. Frits are extremely versatile and can be used in kilnforming, including glass sketch and painting with light techniques, as well as in torch working and blowing, to create colours and patterns on surfaces. Also available in a Fine, Medium or Coarse form.

Working notes:

Stable. No colour shift. Opaque White Powder (000013-0008F) is recommended for surface use only. It may crackle when used between sheet glass layers.

I use this white as the base to all my work and contrary to recommendations I apply it to my base sheet. If you raise your sieve higher than your normal level and allow it to land as a soft veil of powder it won't crackle or trap air. The key is to repeat the process three or four times to achieve a consistent depth to this white. To finish off, angle the sieve to make sure the edges are sufficiently covered otherwise you will get a clear rim around your edge on firing. If you're wanting a subtle white with a semi-transparent finish apply one dusting.

A brighter white. I found you need to use quite a lot of it. Just a light sprinkling tends to disappear upon firing.
