Class Description

Taking inspirations from textiles we will explore weaving, patchwork and tapestry effects in glass.  In this class we will focus on two main projects - creating woven glass and patchwork glass.

Discover the intricate possibilities of glass weaving methods by learning how to shape and construct a beautiful woven glass bowl. Then create beautiful intricate layered patterns with a patchwork project.

We will cover specifics of firing your glass to achieve the precise results needed for these techniques as well as considerations for multiple firings.

This class will give you a comprehensive understanding of glass and heatwork, enabling you to create pieces that are unique and innovative.

The pieces made using the techniques taught in this class are some of the most beautiful to come out of our studio.
