Time and Place

Duration 4 Days – 9.00am to 5.00pm – Total 32 hours

Warm Glass, 5 Havyat Park, Wrington, Bristol. BS40 5PA

Class Description

In a series of explorations designed to build knowledge and experience, we’ll try our hands at kiln carving with fibre papers, clay sculpting and other materials to create shallow designs and plaster-silica moulds. We will then apply the learnings from these experiments to create a more “fully realised” project.

Each student will work closely with Morgan to develop and execute a final project that is tailored to your specific interests as an artist, making it highly informative for your own future works.

We will further develop and finish your work in the cold shop, before in-depth discussion of firing schedules and preparing your work for display.

This class aims to develop your experience and confidence with relief techniques that are easily accessible, yet offer a wealth of potential for deeper exploration, both technically and conceptually.

Teacher - Morgan Madison, glass artist.
