Product Information

Discover the intricate possibilities of weaving, patchwork and tapestry effects in glass.

This class will give you a comprehensive understanding of glass and heatwork, enabling you to create pieces that are unique and innovative.

You will focus on two main projects – creating woven glass and patchwork glass.

Time and Place

Duration 2 days - 10.00am to 4.00pm - total 12 hours

Warm Glass, 5 Havyat Park, Wrington, Bristol. BS40 5PA

Class Description

Taking inspirations from textiles, we will explore weaving, patchwork and tapestry effects in glass. You will learn how to shape and construct a beautiful woven glass bowl, and then create beautiful intricate layered patterns with a patchwork project.

We will cover specifics of firing your glass to achieve the precise results needed for these techniques as well as considerations for multiple firings.

The pieces made using the techniques taught in this class are some of the most beautiful pieces to come out of the Warm Glass studio.

What to Prepare

  • Prerequisite: Some glass fusing experience.
  • Information about your booking will be emailed to you prior to the course date.
  • Please wear work clothes and closed toe shoes.
  • We provide dust masks, however if you have your own you may bring it with you for comfort.
  • All materials are included and all the necessary tools are provided.
  • A delicious lunch is also included. Please advise if you require a vegetarian lunch or have food allergies.
  • The maximum class size is 8 people.
  • We teach using Bullseye Glass (CoE90).

Cancellation Policy

If your cancellation is more than 28 days before the class, a 90% refund will be applied. For cancellations up to 7 days in advance, a 50% refund will be given. After this date, we are unable to offer any refunds. Cancellation of any class incurs a 10% admin fee of the total cost of the class. In order to keep class costs low for all, we make no exceptions to this policy.
