Get started with glass micro-casting with this easy to use kit.

This kit includes all the essentials needed to create your own unique glass micro-castings using the freeze and fuse process. Creates a permanent flexible mould that can be used again.

Freeze and fuse is a simple technique where where wet glass powder is frozen in a mould and then removed before firing. This process works for small objects, up to the size of a matchbox.

The kit contains: 

  • Silicone (1kg) with catalyst (100g)
  • 2kg modelling clay
  • 4 wooden modelling tools
  • 4 x 100g Bullseye powders (colours may differ from the image).
  • Bullseye Box-casting tipsheet
  • How To Freeze and Fuse tipsheet.

Silicone is used as a flexible moulding material only. It cannot be fired in a kiln. The benefit of using silicone is that it makes very detailed re-usable moulds and releases from most surfaces very well. 

Always use a dust mask when working with glass powders.

An extremely easy and quick way to make your own mini casting moulds. You can use one colour powder or really go to town with different coloured powders in different bits of the mould.
