Time and Place

Duration 2 days - 10.00am to 4.00pm - total 12 hours

Warm Glass UK, 5 Havyatt Park, Wrington, Bristol. BS40 5PA

Class Description

Success in glass landscapes is dependent on the materials and techniques you use.  This class will teach you how to use Glassline pens, Bullseye glass powders, frits and Flexi-Glass to great effect in landscape pictures.  The use of these products can create depth, colour and texture in pieces not achievable with paints and canvas.

You do not need to have any specific artistic skills to participate in the class, but it will be of interest to people currently using other artistic mediums to create their work.

Firing schedules and the effects of using different temperatures in the kiln will be discussed and you will leave with all the knowledge required to go and produce unique pieces of your own.

Having been on a one day course I would definitely recommend two days you have more time to think and plan your projects. Also you can see what other students have done. Also if you don’t like what comes out Megan suggested ways to change and improve your project.
