CBS Dichroic Texture: Granite Ripple Rainbow 2 on Black 

This glass fires a beautiful Rainbow of colour and is certain to ensure eye-catching results. This Textural Dichroic holds a vibrant colour and a striking textural appearance, which is maintained even at high temperatures. This glass is perfect for creating stunning jewellery and is also available on clear.

This Dichroic is available in three sizes ¼ sheet, 10 x 10 & 5 x 10 and is also available on black. Please note Rainbow 2 styles come with a mixture of colour and no two sheets are the same. The smaller sizes will not include all the colours present in the ¼ sheet. If you have a preference, please specify in the Special Instructions at checkout whether you would like hot or cold colours.

Base Glass: Rainbow 2 Dichroic coating on black base glass, CoE90. Bullseye Compatible.  While manufactured using 3mm glass, the texture makes this style thicker than 3mm.

Please note Granite Ripple is thicker than soft or medium ripple and gives more textural depth. 

What is Dichroic Glass? Dichroic is a multi-layer coating placed on glass using a technical process known as thin film coating. Dichroic glass has a transmitted colour and a completely different reflective colour; these two colours shift depending on the angle of view. The play of light together with its vibrant colour makes dichroic glass a prime tool to add interest to any kiln glass work. CBS have been manufacturing this product longer than anyone in the business and their dichroic glass is Bullseye compatible and of consistently high quality.

Quarter Sheet Sizing: Quarter sheets of textured dichroic glass are a quarter of a circle with a small section of the curved edge removed during the manufacturing process. The area of a textured quarter sheet is around 440 sq cm, which is about the same area as 4.4 10x10cm sheets. See the Dichroic Glass FAQ pdf for more information.
