Product Information
2mm CBS Dichroic Sheet Glass - Cyan/Dark Dark Red on thin black.

Add a deep rich red to your work with this truly stunning glass which goes well with either similar dark shades, or lighter colours.

Emphasis this spectacular colour with a pattern or texture over the top for a unique glasswork design.

Also available on clear.

Dichroic is a multi-layer coating placed on glass using a technical process known as thin film coating. Dichroic glass has a transmitted colour and a completely different reflective colour; these two colours shift depending on the angle of view. The play of light together with its vibrant colour makes dichroic glass a prime tool to add interest to any kiln glass work. CBS have been manufacturing this product longer than anyone in the business and their dichroic glass is Bullseye compatible and of consistently high quality.

Quarter Sheet Sizing: Quarter sheets of Dichroic glass are a quarter of a circle. The area of a quarter sheet is around 450 sq cm, which is about the same area as 4.5 10x10cm sheets.

All our glass is COE90, Bullseye Glass compatible and suitable for warm glass applications such as glass fusing, glass casting and glass slumping (unless otherwise stated in the description).

I have bought this but prefer the lighter reds. This is what I would call a dark reddy brown. Nice for the winter and yes it is lovely and glossy, the parts that are left uncapped. Too dark to etch dark dark red on black.

Very good quality of glass. Capped and uncapped, this glass ends up smoother than most other dichoics. It is more like a rusted red, don't be fooled by the "dark dark" it still shows pretty well with a black background.
