Product Information
2mm Bullseye Stringers - Mixed pack of transparent and opal colours.

Bullseye compatible glass stringers - 2mm diameter. Approximately 44cm long.

Standard Pack : Contains a minimum of 12 stringers

Economy Pack : Contains a minimum of 50 stringers

Stringers, threads of glass pulled from re-melted Bullseye compatible sheet, can be used for lines or patterns in 2 or 3 dimensional kiln-formed or torch-worked projects. Bend with a candle or use straight from the tube. For a more fine line or pattern, transparent and opalescent stringers are available in 1mm mixed packs.
Please note these packs may contain striker glasses which means that they will appear pale or colourless and "strike" (change) to the target colour only after firing.

All our glass is COE90, Bullseye Glass compatible and suitable for applications such as glass fusing, glass casting and glass slumping (unless otherwise stated in the description).

I loved the video showing how to bend stringers with a candle, so I tried it. I found it surprisingly easy to control the curve; even a long gradual curve was possible after only a few practice attempts. It can be tricky to align several bends in the same plane though.
The problem with this technique, for me, was the sooty deposit left by the candle. Easy to avoid; use a small spirit lamp - or presumably a small butane flame.
