Vitrigraph Stringer - CoE90 Rainbow Mix

Add unique shapes and movement to glass projects with our versatile hand pulled vitrigraph stringer.

100g Jar

Hand-pulled Vitrigraph stringers from Bullseye CoE90 glass.

Threads of glass pulled from remelted Bullseye compatible sheets, creating random spirals, curves and twists.

Variations can be a mixture of transparent, opal and streaky glass. Each pot contains a good mix of thicknesses, shapes and sizes including long, medium, short and very short 'murrine'-style pieces, a variety of curves and at least one spiral section.

Working Notes: Due to the nature of production, vitrigraph stringer is not pre-annealed. To prevent shock to the glass on firing, we would recommend reducing the initial ramp speed to 80-150C per hour, depending on thickness (the thicker the piece the slower the rate).

Made locally by our Warm Glass instructor Becky Wills.

Please note this product is very fragile and small breakages may occur in transit.

Love these stringers, fab new product! Lots of different colours and shapes in my pot (just received). Only slightly disappointed to see that many had been shattered (I assume during delivery) particularly thin green and red in my pot - resulting in multiple very short pieces at the bottom. Estimate about 10% of total contents, given fragility and non uniform nature I'm not sure there's a solution to this though! Just worth being aware of.

WARM GLASS RESPONSE: Due to the nature of the product some breakage may occur in transit. We therefore put more than 100g in each pot to compensate. Please also note that we do put some very short fine pieces in each pot as standard as these are useful for illustrative elements, as well as short 'murrine' style pieces.
