I choose the Nabertherm kiln as I wanted a professional kiln that would be reliable in it's performance. I sell my work in galleries and need to know that I will get the same perfect results on each firing. I have not been disappointed either. I was commissioned to make a large scale piece by a school and had to fire 64 glass tiles. I was not worried about firing them in my kiln and they all came out perfectly. (previously I have had devitrification on my work when using other kilns but have had no problems with my Nabertherm) The kiln is solid and well built and the internal space is large enough for most pieces. I also find the kiln extremely easy to load as it is top loading and sits on a trolley. This makes life much easier than the front loading kiln I was using previously. The kiln is also very quiet and I am happy to programme it and leave it to run over night. I also choose this kiln because of the extended guarantee that comes with it. Another factor that made me choose this kiln, was I know this is the kiln you use for firing work produced during your workshops and I knew if I had any problems setting my programmer then the team at Warm glass would be able to talk me through what to do. I am very pleased with my kiln and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to any serious/ semi professional maker who wants to have the facility to fire their own work.

I'm so pleased with all of the firings I've done with my Naberthern. I had a pottery kiln before and now I am getting much better results with a glass kiln.
I chose the Naberthern as it looked like the best value for money and seemed to fit all my requirements.
The programming sheet you provided is really helpful and I've found it useful that you've been able to give advice on the phone when I was using the kiln for the first few firings.

I was a little daunted at first. The Skutt Hotstart (from you) had been (and still is)so super easy (I swear it reads my thoughts!). All the programmes on the Nabertherm required me to set up which scared me but with the Basic Bullseye programmes as a guide line and Simon’s advice on the telephone, it wasn't as difficult as I thought. The firing notes I made at first had to be jigged a little when the kiln "settled" down but now I get exactly what I want from what I program in and the firings are even throughout the kiln. The programmer is very easy to use - with a range for near beginners to the experts who require much more complex programmes. This kiln will take me forward for a long time to come.

The height inside the kiln allows for fairly high moulds etc. to be used. It is easy to arrange work inside with the wide opening of the lid. The kiln on the base is very easy to move around - you don't have to be super strong or anything - which is a plus. The two shelves below are great for storage of moulds etc. The Nabertherm uses (for a similar firing) just over twice as much electricity as the Skutt. It looks great and the metal shell is great protection from slight knocks

I chose a Nabertherm as I was aware (from college and other sources) they were a good and reliable make and you stocked the one I wanted. Although I did investigate if the Skutt came in the size I wanted, as I would have been more than happy to have the same only larger, the Nabertherm has more than exceeded my expectations and I am very happy with it.

And, having bought my first kiln from you, and knowing you would help me if I got into difficulty, I was more than happy to come to you again for the Nabertherm.

I chose the Nabertherm because it was top loading and was a good size. I felt that if I bought a smaller kiln, I would eventually want something larger. The Nabertherm takes a shelf of almost 50 cm square and the height inside allows me to use large floral drape moulds or the drop out ring as high as I like.

I have been very happy with my purchase. In the year that I have owned it, it has been fired 4 or 5 times a week and I have never had a problem. The controller is very easy to program and holds more programmes than anyone could use. It is as economical as advertised because it holds the heat for many hours meaning that it is not using power after reaching the process temperature. I love it!

I really can't think of any disadvantages to this kiln. It would not be the choice for someone who wishes only to fuse glass as a hobby. I sell a fair amount at local craft fairs and it serves me very well.
