July 12-13th 2012 - Screen Printing on Glass

Repeat images not only look good but make commercial sense when producing anything from jewellery to tiles and bowls.

You will finish this class with at least two finished panels for display.

Class Description

Screen-printing images on glass in an interesting and exciting way to add detail and design to fused and slumped glass.

This class is designed to introduce you to the screen printing technique using ready prepared screens as well as making your own screens.

• preparing the screen
• preparing the glass
• which pigments and paints to use
• mixing the pigments for printing

We will also cover some detail about the types of screens, screen mesh, and which squeegees are most suitable for printing.

What to Prepare

• no previous experience required
• please wear work clothes and closed toed shoes
• all materials and a delicious lunch are included and all necessary tools are provided.  Please advise us of any special dietary requirements.
• we restrict the class size to 8 people
• we teach using Bullseye Glass (CoE90)

Cancellations up to 4 weeks before the course 100% refund or alternative class offered, after that date a 50% refund will be given up to 1 week prior to the course.
