Product Information

Bullseye Fine Frit - Cranberry Pink Transparent

A rich pink which matures to its target colour on firing. A sophisticated, attractive colour on its own or calmed with the use of a softer colour such as Light Plum.

Bullseye frit is made from crushed, screened and magnetically cleaned Bullseye Compatible sheet glass. Available in 103 colours, frit gives the opportunity to add a unique element to your glass work. Frits are extremely versatile and can be used in kilnforming, including glass sketch and painting with light techniques, as well as in torch working and blowing, to create colours and patterns on surfaces. Also available in a Powder, Medium or Coarse form.

Striker

Contains:

Lead

May React With:

Selenium, Sulphur

Cold characteristics:
Fine and Medium frits often appear lighter than their fired colour, even when the glass is not a striker. Please see the bottom half of the sheet glass image below for a better idea of the fired colour.

Working notes:

Colour will almost always deepen on firing. Possible dark interface reaction with selenium and/or sulphur glasses (1122, 1125, 0124, 0125, 1137, 1437, 0137). Less viscous (softer) than most other glasses.  Some striking glasses like this one need to be fired slowly during the initial stages of the firing cycle. If fired too fast they may not strike at all or they may strike, but appear spotty and have a blue-brown cast as opposed to the desired target colour.  A standard full-fuse schedule should work to strike these glasses:

Rate Temp (C) Hold
222 677 :30
333 804 :10
999 482 :60
83 371 end

For projects that are especially colour-sensitive, we recommend fusing a small sample, with a similar setup in the same kiln, to best predict final colour results.
