Product Information
2mm CBS Dichroic Sheet Glass - Magenta/Green on thin black.

Add cool, shimmering green to your glass work with this compelling colour. This dichroic is a wonderfully different alternative to your usual green glass and is definitely a worthwhile investment!

Also available on clear.

Dichroic is a multi-layer coating placed on glass using a technical process known as thin film coating. Dichroic glass has a transmitted colour and a completely different reflective colour; these two colours shift depending on the angle of view. The play of light together with its vibrant colour makes dichroic glass a prime tool to add interest to any kiln glass work. CBS have been manufacturing this product longer than anyone in the business and their dichroic glass is Bullseye compatible and of consistently high quality.

Quarter Sheet Sizing: Quarter sheets of Dichroic glass are a quarter of a circle. The area of a quarter sheet is around 450 sq cm, which is about the same area as 4.5 10x10cm sheets.

All our glass is COE90, Bullseye Glass compatible and suitable for warm glass applications such as glass fusing, glass casting and glass slumping (unless otherwise stated in the description).

I use a lot of this dichroic colour for jewellery as it's easily described as a turquoise and that's always a popular colour.

After firing, this glass keeps fairly close to the color of the picture. The magenta "shine" is not too obvious and you can only perceive it at a strong angle. It is quite beautiful.

This fires to a soft but vibrant, metallic blue green, gorgeous in jewellery. Perfect for summery pendants selling in beach locations as it has that gorgeous summer sea feel to it.
