Product Information
This very very thin 98% pure silver foil can have interesting effects when layered between pieces of glass. Silver will produce exciting reactions with sulphur bearing glass such as French Vanilla and Red Opal, it will also stain many others.
  • Sheet size is 20cmx20cm.
  • The content rate of the Bullseye silver foil is higher than sterling silver.
  • Silver foil will react with clear 1101 and therefore whenever possible you should use crystal clear 1401.
Try out the reaction of silver foil with Bullseye French Vanilla powder!

Please note due to the delicate nature of silver foil there may be small tears in the side of the square.

Experiment with reactive glasses.  Here the dark interface reaction between the silver foil and red opal, capped with clear, creates interest in the piece:

This silver foil gives excellent results when mixed with reactive glasses. I once tried using silver foil for paintings and the results were terrible. Use this for wonderful colors. On top of french vanilla it gives out different browns and blues, and on top of reactive cloud it gives copper tones. I recommend you experiment on different kinds of glasses to get different results.

I've been getting some really nice reactions when Iíve used this silver with French vanilla, itís so exciting how it changes the colour of the glass and you get some really beautiful smokey effects.
